At Muth Roofing, we’ve always believed that a strong community builds a strong future. We’ve been proud to support our neighbors through initiatives like back-to-school drives for students.
This year, however, we’re turning our focus to the unsung heroes of education: our public school teachers.
We’re excited to announce Mr. Moose’s School Supply Drive for Big Walnut Teachers with Big Walnut Friends Who Share.
And we’re calling on you, our community of Sunbury. Galena, Delaware, and Westerville, to join us in providing the supplies and resources these dedicated professionals need to succeed.
The Heart of Our Community: Teachers
Public school teachers are the backbone of our education system. They inspire, guide, and nurture the next generation, often going above and beyond to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive. From creating engaging lesson plans to offering emotional support, teachers in Central Ohio pour their hearts into their classrooms every single day.
Yet, despite their invaluable contributions, many teachers face significant challenges. Budget cuts, limited resources, and growing class sizes often leave educators to dip into their own pockets to provide basic classroom supplies. According to a 2023 survey by the National Education Association, teachers spend an average of $500 to $750 of their own money each year on materials such as pencils, paper, books, and even cleaning supplies. This financial burden is simply unacceptable for professionals who already give so much.
Why We’re Stepping Up for Teachers
At Muth Roofing, we’ve seen firsthand how a supportive community can lift everyone. We’ve helped families prepare for the school year with supplies in the past. We’re now committed to ensuring our teachers have what they need to create vibrant, effective learning environments. Our Mr. Moose’s School Supply Drive for Big Walnut Teachers aims to alleviate some of the burdens educators face by collecting essential items like:
- Dry-erase markers
- Tissues
- Pencils
- Glue sticks
- Composition books
- Spiral notebooks
- Plastic folders with binding and without
- Wet wipes
- Cleaning wipes

Donate Supplies: Drop off items inside Big Walnut Grill during their business hours. Donations will be given to Big Walnut Friends Who Share to distribute to Big Walnut Teachers.
- Buy Supplies during Ohio’s 2025 Expanded Sales Tax Holiday: Save money while helping with a great cause! August 1st through August 14th, 2025.

Spread the Word: Share our drive with friends, family, and colleagues. The more people who know about this initiative, the greater impact we can make.
