Muth & Company Roofing, a family-owned contractor, is not just about providing homeowners with the best roofing options, we also believe in giving back to the communities we serve. That’s why recently Muth & Company Roofing, together with the nation’s leading network of camps and mentor clubs for children of abuse, abandonment and neglect, Royal Family Kids Camp and the Starfish Alliance, have sent two local foster kids to summer camp.
Royal Family Kids Camp of Franklin County has been around since 2002, providing less fortunate kids (children ages 6 to 12 who were abused, abandoned, or neglected) a chance to experience having fun in a summer camp filled with exciting and encouraging activities such as swimming, zip-lining, rock-climbing, woodshop, a free clothing store, sports and more. RFKC also makes it a point to provide an individualized attention and care for campers with their 1:2 councilor to camper ratio.
We at Muth & Company Roofing were moved by RFKC’s gallant move to somehow alleviate these kids’ current predicament. That’s why we decided to assist them in any way we can; and we came up with this idea:
- We will donate $2 for every like we receive on the Muth & Company Roofing Facebook page
- We will donate $100 for every roof contract signed through midnight on June 20th.
- We will defer a discount in the customer’s name to RFKC; i.e., customer may use a $300 discount for $200 off their roof and donate $100 to RFKC. We present the customer with a 501c3 form for a 100% tax write-off.
After all has been said and done, we received 482 new likes which has resulted to $964; we signed 10 roof contracts that came to $1,000; and we had 2 customers do a deferred discount of $100 which came to $200. In the end, we accumulated a total of $2,164 in donations – enough to send two happy kids to summer camp.
In light of these, we would like to thank everyone who participated by either liking our Facebook page, signing a roofing contract, as well as those who are kind enough to defer their discounts. Until the next RFKC camp, have a great summer everyone!
